Unfiltered Watercolor - When possible, I find great pleasure in using source-inspired, unfiltered water for my painting to provide a connection to time and place.

All life and landscapes are formed by and sustained by water. I am inspired to give the water an important role in telling a story. By using water sourced from the location that inspired the painting, once dry it will add an invisible fingerprint of its history to the painting. When dry, the dissolved minerals, sediment, pollutants, living micro organisms will create an invisible river and time specific ‘stamp’ on the paper.
